End User Support
PROCONTROL DELIVER PLC, HMI AND SCADA APPPLICATION DEVELOPMENT AS PART OF OUR OWN TURNKEY SOLUTIONS, ALTERNATIVELY, WE ARE HAPPY TO PROVIDE A SOFTWARE ONLY SERVICE WHEN REQUIRED
ON LARGER PROJECTS, AND WHERE TIME PERMITS, OUR SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS WILL ENCOMPASS THE FOLLOWING STAGES.
1. Quotation
From a draft Process and instrumentation drawing (P&ID), a user requirement specification(URS), we will draw upon our experience to produce an accurate cost for the complete project
2. Functional Design Specification
We will produce an FDS document, this will describe in detail all aspects of the proposed control system including: Hardware platform, Development software, Sequence structures, Graphical Interface, I/O listing and interface signalling with the ancillary equipment
3. Software Production
Drawing upon tried and tested techniques which have been refined over many years, our engineers will get to work developing the required applications. At ProControl we take pride in producing clear easy to follow highly functional mimic screens, and intuitive, informative sequence control interfaces.
Simple – We take pride in producing software that is not unnecessarily over complicated as to bamboozle maintenance engineers and add huge costs to future support and development.
Effective – Great effort goes into ensuring our HMI and SCADA work is easy to follow, intuitive and informative. Our aim is to minimize training requirement, reduce the potential for mistakes and keep product wastage to a minimum.
Quality – As the window into your control system, we believe our software should have a look and feel to match the quality of the code behind it. Taking inspiration from the world around, we try to ensure that our user interfaces are modern, highly refined and aesthetically pleasing.
4. Simulation
This gives the customer a first look at the finished product, extra software is written to allow the all sequences to be run as realistically as possible. At this point, any changes can be agreed and implemented
5. Final Commissioning
This is where experience counts, as last minute modifications are often required. Our highly flexible software techniques allow us to make fast reliable changes to sequences, keeping projects on track.
6. After Sales Support
The first few weeks is always a key period as operators learn how to get the best out of the equipment, and minor bugs come to light. To minimize disruption during this teething period we generally try to establish remote access and offer 24/7 support for the first month. Our work will then fall under a general 12-month guarantee period.
Control Panels
PROCONTROL DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE CONTROL PANELS AS PART OF OUR TURNKEY SOLUTIONS. WE ARE ALSO HAPPY TO PROVIDE A BUILD ONLY SERVICE WHERE CONTROL PANELS ARE MANUFACTURED TO SPECIFICATIONS SUPPLIED DIRECTLY BY THE CUSTOMER.
1. Emphasis on Quality
Our focus is on quality and maintainability. We use premium brand components, logical layouts with clearly marked cables and terminals. Our panels are fully tested and come supplied with a well-structured documentation package. All this ensures fast accurate installation, and minimum downtime.

with the help off a network of trusted subcontractors, we have the capability to take on installation projects of all sizes.
End User Support
END USERS ARE ORGANISATIONS WHO USE AUTOMATED CONTROL SYSTEMS AS PART OF THEIR DAY-TO-DAY BUSINESS SUCH AS; MANUFACTURERS, BUILDING MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS, RENEWABLE ENERGY INSTALLATIONS, WATER/EFFLUENT TREATMENT AND AGRICULTURAL APPLICATIONS.
1. Trouble Shooting
Although modern control systems can be highly reliable, when problems do occur specialist skills are often required to get things up and running quickly.
ProControl are equipped with software licensing and hardware to interrogate and diagnose problems with most mainstream automation platforms. To complement our in-house experience, we also have contracts in place to access technical support from several key vendors.
- We can provide support in the following areas:
- Faults associated PLCs, HMIs, and I/O system
- Online monitoring and general machine faulting finding
- Control panel and field wiring
- Inverter (VSD) and motion control
- Instrumentation
3. Obsolescence management
Automation control systems have been around since the early 1980s and there are many legacy systems still in service where key components are now obsolete. At ProControl we have the knowhow and experience to upgrade legacy equipment with the minimum of down time.
2. In House Projects & Modifications
